The landscape of scientific publication has changed significantly during the last 20 years. The arrival of electronic publications widened considerably the diffusion of scientific content. In particular, contrary to the standard subscription-access model, the new model of open-access (OA) electronic publication allows to share scientific results worldwide immediately. This one-day workshop aims at exploring what are the difficulties to make OA the default model for scientific publication and what it could change in the way international scientific communities work.
The goal of this workshop is to open a large reflexion about open access publication and more generally open science among the members of the CRNL.
The workshop will be divided in two parts:
Morning: talks and round table abount open access publication
Afternoon: small working groups on various open science initiatives (possibility to attend up to two groups)
Registration is free but mandatory limited number of attendants
